Form is only complicated when you don’t control complexity

archifreese worked on The Barn from conceptual design to the start of construction documentation. Creating custom definitions in grasshopper, archifreese created unique solutions and tools that allowed the team to work through complex geometric modeling in order to clearly demonstrate the ambitions and specifications for building the form, the structure, the purlins and the shingles in a way that produced models the engineers could run through and simulate. This reinformed the project and archifreese created a definitioin to integrate the details of the bracing woven into the trusses.
